Master the most important tool in your kitchen and cut prep time with this workshop!
Join best-selling local cookbook author and trained chef Christine Flynn as she walks you through the basic types of knives, knife care, and knife handling.
You will learn to work confidently with chefs’ knives and paring knives as she helps you master slicing, dicing, mincing, julienning, chiffonading, and chopping.
Participants can use our 8” chefs’ knives or bring their favourite knives from home.
Beverages and all necessary supplies will be provided.

- As our chefs source their ingredients well in advance of the workshops, all class sales are final – no refunds or transfers for other dates. If you unable to make the class that you booked, please let us know in advance so that we can welcome your replacement properly.
About Your Chef - Christine Flynn
Christine is a Nova Scotia-based cookbook author, recipe developer, and content creator.
She graduated at the top of her class from the French Culinary Institute in Manhattan and has worked in kitchens from Burgundy to Nantucket.
She has written three cookbooks – A Generous Meal, How to Eat With One Hand, and Easy Does It. Her third cookbook, Easy Does It, features simple recipes with big personality, flavour, and style.
She has shared her knowledge and love of food with countless students and friends, and we are thrilled to have her join us for this amazing workshop!
