About Your Chef - Ghada Shuli
Ghada, is the founder of Sanabel Chef Mama G, a bakery specializing in sourdough baked goods and specialty cakes.
Her love for food began in her childhood, visiting the Palestinian village where her grandparents lived, surrounded by rich ingredients like fresh olive oil harvested from the family’s olive trees and herbs that grew locally.
She has been most inspired by her grandfather, a chef in her village. She loved watching him cook for the community, seeing how his food brought people together and created joy sparked an interest in me for culinary arts at a young age.
After moving to Halifax, Ghada completed her Culinary Arts Diploma at NSCC, followed by her Baking and Pastry Art Certificate.
She is passionate about sharing her culture and collaborated with the Canadian Museum of Immigration for the Pier 21 exhibition: “Eat Make Share.” She celebrated the many ways that food can tell stories, cross borders, and bring people together.
Come join us for this special collaboration!
